We desire to equip believers to reach the lost. We do not want to have a “missions program”; instead, we desire to be a “mission-hearted church.” By this we mean that we do not desire individuals to merely think about missions occasionally, but we desire each member to live a missions-oriented life.
Mission is not what we do; it is who we are as followers of Jesus Christ.
How does missions work at Salem Baptist? Enabling all members to participate in missions via giving, going, sending and praying as they live a life that demonstrates a commitment to taking the gospel to all peoples (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8, Psalm 67).
The Hope Center - Our church partners with other local Southern Baptist Churches in providing help for families during their time of need. The Salem Baptist Association Hope Center needs volunteers to work half days on Thursdays and Fridays. For more info, call Bro. Paul Fries at 608-475-1629.
Salem Baptist Church during 2020 will be worshipping beyond the walls once per quarter on a Sunday afternoon/evening. We will worship, serve others and share Christ in our town. Our mission begins right here in Liberty, TN.
We want to make sure that the people here experience the Love of Christ and that they know that Jesus Christ "Loves Liberty".
Salem Baptist Church has participated in this International Mission Opportunity for years. Each year we pack shoe boxes with gifts that touch the lives of children around the world. Each box also includes the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Samaritan's Purse is led by Franklin Graham, son of Evangelist Billy Graham.
Beginning in 2020 our Sunday School Classes began to walk in a Sunday School Missions Strategy that promotes missions.
We are challenging each class to complete one mission project per quarter.. The result would be 40+ projects completed by the end of the year. The goal is to listen for ways to touch peoples lives with Gods love and His message of grace.
